On the upside, it’s a well made, high quality plate. On the downside, I’m having to air out the plates before bringing them into my indoor gym. The chemical smell is very strong, and it still stinks up my garage after a week. I think another week before I can bring them into my home gym. Another downside, if you’re picky like I am, is that there is a black powdery residue that covers all of the plates that rubs off on anything the plates touch. You have to do quite a bit of rubbing to get it off; not easy like wiping off a kitchen countertop. If you want excellent plates that have less smell and no black powdery residue, look at XMark and compare.
