Great plates that are easy to grip and hold. I store them on CAP Barbell 2″ Plate Rack and use them primarily with a 7′ CAP Barbell Solid ECO Bar. There were some imperfections with the paint in a few areas, but really nothing to worry about. The approximate plate diameters are 5.75″ for 2.5lbs, 9.25″ for 10lbs, 11.0″ for 25lbs, 14.0″ for 35lbs, and 16.25″ for 45lbs.

I ordered 6 of these so far (2×25, 2×10, 2×2.5) and my bodyweight scale measured each 25# one as 25.0 lbs on the nose. It’s not a hyper-accurate scale, but it’s relatively accurate to within +- 0.2 lbs. I plan to order 45s, 35s, and 5s to complete my set.

Reasonably Accurate for Price

I got two plates so far. They were 43 lb. 13 oz. and 44 lb. 13 oz. I have an accurate to the 1/2 ounce baby/toddler scale. I am pretty happy with that especially considering the price.

Bought two 25 pound plates. They came out to be 24.7 and 25.2 pounds. So very close to the exact 25 pound mark. However, the tag it came with had a warning: ” This product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm.” and I wonder what those chemicals are…

Work great for me.

Pleasantly surprised after reading some negative reviews.

Nice plates but the 45s are undersize.

I have these in 2.5#-45#, the 45# are smaller diameter than all of my other 45# plates which can be frustrating. The 25# and 35# seem to be about the same diameter as other brand 25s/35s so I’m not sure why the 45s are smaller. (Even from other Cap Barbell models). This is mostly a problem for Deadlifting where, if you’re using just these plates, you’re going to be at a small deficit, or if you’re using them with other brand plates, the other brand plates are carrying more weight. If you’re not doing lifts off the floor, the smaller diameter shouldn’t matter.

Low quality casting and painting, but for what you are paying these are just fine

Bought two of these in the 5 lb size, two in the 2.5 lb size. The 2.5 pound weights actually weighs 2.53 and 2.59. The 5 lb weights are a lot farther off — 5.29 and 5.49.The casting around the hole is rough, particularly bad on one of them, but all were able to slide onto my Ohio bar. They are ugly, roughly cast and poorly painted, but the actual weight is reasonably close to the advertised weight (especially on the 2.5 size) and they were just a few dollars apiece with free shipping. I cannot complain. I wouldn’t want a whole set of these, but for little fractional sizes they fit the bill exactly.

This last batch is the most expensive and has worst finish of the bunch

I have purchased 15 of these plates over time from Walmart and Amazon with wildly fluctuating prices. This last batch is the most expensive and has the worst finish of the bunch. I have not weighed the plates but my guess is that all the casting slag left on the plates would effect the weight. But, I will keep them as the aesthetics of the plates are not really why I purchased them.

Good plates

Pretty much the cheapest weight plates you can get on Amazon, at least when they’re being sold directly from Amazon. The 3rd party merchants like to hike the price up.

do the job, great price

I have a pair of 45’s and a pair of 5’s, with a set of 10’s on the way (if Amazon ever ships them). The plates I have are great. They arrived in good shape, although the packaging for one of the 45’s was trashed. Mine don’t have the defects mentioned by others, although one of mine had some very small, relatively sharp burrs near the edge that were easily rubbed off by hand. I’m not sure if it was metal or just paint. I recommend looking them over closely or gently feeling around the surfaces to make sure there aren’t any little burrs or sharp pieces that might surprise you. Otherwise they are smooth and fit my barbell without issue. Weights are accurate. They have stood up to being banged around on my cement floor without issue.
