Great plates that are easy to grip and hold. I store them on CAP Barbell 2″ Plate Rack and use them primarily with a 7′ CAP Barbell Solid ECO Bar. There were some imperfections with the paint in a few areas, but really nothing to worry about. The approximate plate diameters are 5.75″ for 2.5lbs, 9.25″ for 10lbs, 11.0″ for 25lbs, 14.0″ for 35lbs, and 16.25″ for 45lbs.

Seeing how good of a deal these plates were I ordered 2 …

So here is the deal. I bought 4 of these thru Amazon. First thing I did was to measure the diameter and weigh them. 2 of the plates weighed an exact 45 and the 2 other were 44.5. The diameters for all of them were 17 inches vs a standard plate 17.3/4 inches. So when you set the bar on the floor with the CAP 45s there is less than half inch deficit compared to a standard deadlift bar setup. This is a none issue for me since I’m not a competitive lifter. But here is the deal. Seeing how good of a deal these plates were I ordered 2 more 45s which were returned due to damage during transit by UPS. So I wanted to try my luck at Walmart and ordered more plates from there. Plates from Walmart were inferior quality. They had bumps and blemishes all over. Their diameter were slightly smaller @16.3/4 inches, and they weighed 44 lbs. So I don’t know if these plates are a hit or miss based on the batch you are going to receive but the ones I received from Amazon for much less than a buck per pound were definitely a great deal.

Rough finish but usable

Picked up 2 of the 2.5 incremental plates. They were about 30% cheaper than local stores and free shipping made it easy. The finish is a little rough on these. I have some older CAP plates that have much nicer finish. That said the weights fit well on my bar. Measured on my cheap shipping scale one came in at 2lb 7 oz, the other at 2lb 6.6 oz. Pretty close, the weight may be off due to the scale but it is fairly repeatable.

which makes it comfortable to pick up

These fit my home gym perfectly. All of my equipment is Olympic, so no issues changing plates on my machines. There are no corners when gripping the handle, which makes it comfortable to pick up. Before the CAP plates, I bought the Champion plates about 7 yrs ago. Those were the cheapest plates back then (about $1/lbs). I’ve always wanted the CAP plates, but they were almost 1 1/2 times the cost, at the time. I can’t believe they’re $1/lbs now. I wish I could trade my whole Champion weight stack for CAP plates….SMH. Oh well….it’s all timing.

Worth every penny…..A good purchase

Perfect👍 I purchased 2 for a complete set for my husband for Christmas gift. It arrived on time in perfect condition. They truly fit a 2″inch bar as it claims in the description. I was very pleased with the purchase and my husband was over joyed to see the 25lb weights actually fit the olympic bar.

I ordered two of these each in 25 & 45 pound plates. Receive them all in great condition and seemed to avoid any of the issues with burrs on the inside where the plates slide onto the bar. I weighed them with a digital luggage scale, and they were 25.2 – 25.5 and 45.4 – 45.5 respectively. For this price I find that to be more than adequate. As far as the finish goes, they were fine with the exception of maybe some sloppy silver paint. But honestly, I use these to lift not to look at!

Great all around. No pun intended.

They fit through the barbell, didn’t have to dremel it or anything. Unlike the Dick’s sporting goods weight set (body fitness?) weights, these are almost official size so they work fine for deadlifting, especially if you put one layer of the cheap gym mats down. It’s easy to grab and lift due to the holes on the sides. I didn’t weigh them, but I’m sure they’re within variance (don’t really want to get concerned about it). For the price (less than a dollar a pound), it’s cheaper than most stuff on Craig’s List.

I purchased two of the 45 pound plates. I like how thin they are and love that I can use the gaps as a handle to carry them. The plates weighed 44.7 and 44.9 pounds. Not surgically accurate but I didn’t expect them to be. I only care about bang for the buck when it comes to plates. These were a good value. The only thing that caught me off guard was that these had a little bit larger diameter than I expected, but not problematic at all.
