After my first round of P90x a lot was left to be desired from resistance band training. I decided for my second round of training I had to up my game. I have been researching adjustable dumb bells for some time now and haven’t found units that have been affordable and safe to use. Some of the exercises I do require the weights to be suspended above my head. As much as I want to be in shape, I don’t want 10 lbs of weights falling on my face. Finally, I found these on sale. Some people had complaints about speed switching and other things, but no safety hazards so I bit the bullet and ordered them. I feel sorry for the Fed-Ex driver who dropped this 100lb anvil on my doorstep. I’ve been using them for 3 weeks and so far they have done a great job and I am satisfied. Changing weights can be cumbersome, I write down all my progress so I know exactly when I need to change weights and make sure I get it prepped as required.

I really like this little set

I really like this little set, I use it almost every day. One of them sticks a little when I try to move the weight adjustment pin or put it back in the rack, but other than that it has held up well and it’s great little product. I use these almost exclusively for dumbbell exercises. They don’t take up much space so they’re easy to store.

Very handy

these are great dumbbells, I was nervous at first and very cautious of weight slipping but these are very well made and strudy

Easy to use, but would benefit from option to add 5 pound increment

I’ve been using these weights for the past 6 months and they are good quality and reasonably easy to change the weight. My biggest gripe is that there isn’t a 5-pound increment. You can always add five pounds to one side of the dumbbell, but it then becomes awkward to use it (consider that at 35# you would have 50% more weight on one side 15 v 10 + 10 for dumbbell).
So, about a week into getting these the “lever” that allows you to change weights broke. It still works, but it is all floppy and took me a while to figure out how to use it properly so that weights didn’t just fall off in the middle of using them. That kind of sucked, but i’m glad they are still functional after that. Also, these weights are NOT made to be dropped, or even set down hard. So if you’re one of those lifters that chucks the weights to the ground when done with a set…these aren’t for you. These are more for people that are doing curls, and lunges ect…that will PLACE them back on their holders when done. There is a lot of plastic, but after a full summer of use by myself and company (yup, put them in the workplace) they are still holding strong. Definitely not the greatest, but they work.
