An excellent bench but wobbly leg extension.

The bench is pretty sturdy once put together. The instructions are not the greatest so it takes a while to assemble. Do not tighten anything until you install the seat and back pads. It’s the only way to get the holes to line up to install the pads. Then and only then you can tighten everything else. The bench is somewhat tall so a wood block or using the feet of the bench may be a necessity for some. The leg extension and pads do wobble a bit so you may need to shim or modify things to take some of the slop out. However, if you are smooth with your movements you can get a good workout in. The post for the weights is slightly undersized so a regular spring collar will have to be twisted or made smaller I order to secure the weights. The bench itself is solid and the foam padding is outstandingly thick. The bench is a bit on he long side. You may want to turn the legs inward to save a little space. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Great bench! Couple of issues

Great bench. This sucker is big though! I’m 6′ and my feet don’t touch the ground when flat benching, but I like the massive size of the thing. If you are looking for a bench to fit in a small space the this thing isn’t for you, but I was sick of small benches I didn’t feel safe on. The size does limit some exercises, for example, doing lying triceps extensions behind your head because the bench is so long. a couple of other issues are, as others have complained, the leg developer moves around a bit, wich I have a feeling I will be having to use my warranty on eventually, and this thing is a PAIN to put together. It took me about 4 hours spread out over 2 days. I got all the bolts in the seat but it’s on a little crooked but it was the best I can do. If you don’t believe me you will see for yourself.

Great Equipment (even after 5 years of continuous use)

Update 12/20/2016 (over 5 years after purchase):

LEAVE OFF THE SEAT HANDLES UNTIL THEY END! Other than that, this thing seems well designed and very tough.

Haven’t finished the assembly yet, but I wanted to get this out here. There may be other posts that I missed on this. When assembling this thing, LEAVE OFF THE SEAT HANDLES UNTIL THEY END. They cover up one of the critical bolts that may need to be adjusted for alignment.

Good stuff:

Great product-especially if you are tall!

My hubby is super pleased with this. He is 6’2″ so he wanted something sturdy and stable and big. I use it too–I am 5’5″…it’s definitely a little big for me–but I’m still able to use it just fine (just look uncoordinated getting on and off of it). I took one star off because my hubby had to do some adjusting with black electrical tape to get it completely wobble-free. He spent hours on it and now that bad boy doesn’t have one tiny ounce of wobble in it! But, it would have been super for it to have no wobble without all of the tape/rigging :)

Good quality, sturdy bench

It was listed for $475 which may be a bit high for this product, but I got it for $250. If not for two somewhat minor problems, it would have gotten 5 stars for that price. Overall, the construction is high quality, thick metal, solid comfortable padding. The hand grips are useful. The ones close to the leg press can get in the way somewhat but are removable so you don’t have to have them on if you don’t want them.

One of the better Benches I’ve used

I purchased this Bench along with the Valor Athletics BD-7 as I was in the process of changing out my home gym equipment.
